About This Program

One Story a Day for Science is a series of twelve books designed to develop scientific reflection, reading and comprehension, and a curiosity about the world in children aged 8 to 12.
Written by a team of Canadian professionals, these books comprise high-interest topics and motivational content relevant to 21st century scientific knowledge. They also encourage kids to love reading!
The stories engage with topics in physics, biology, chemistry, and earth science. Complete with thoughtprovoking questions and activities, this series is bound to encourage a keen interest in science and environmental awareness while developing a love of reading.

Curriculum Equivalency

This reading program is designed for children with a basic reading knowledge.

The stories are written using vocabulary corresponding to grade 5-8 of Ontario, Canadian curriculum.

Completion of the entire program is equivalent to a vocabulary base of 14,000 words.
